In the first semester of 2023 Elsevier offers free online trainings in English and Hungarian for researchers, university lecturers, MA and PhD students and librarians. Trainings by the Elsevier Online Training Hub, Elsevier Webinars for Central & Eastern Europe in English.

Elsevier has offered trial access to its Complete Anatomy digital database. The database can be tested between the 26th of April 2023 and the 30th of June 2023.

This year, ELTE Trefort Ágoston Teacher Training High School celebrated the 150th anniversary of its foundation and adopted eight prints of great significance to the history of the school, which are preserved in the ELTE University Library and Archives.

The exhibition was compiled by the staff of the University Library and Knowledge Center of the University of Pécs in 2022, the 90th anniversary of the death of cultural politician Kuno Klebelsberg (1875–1932). The traveling exhibition of the University of Pécs can be seen for one month from April 24, 2023 in the hall of the ELTE University Library and Archives. The exhibition is free of charge, if you are not a registered reader, please indicate your intention to visit at the entrance.

Two hundred and fifty years ago, in 1773, Pope Clement XIII dissolved the Jesuit order, accelerating the process of the university's transfer to the state. Between 1635 and 1773, many distinguished Jesuits of great knowledge taught at our university, leaving a lasting mark on the history of the institution. In April our feature is on the collector of Hungarian history sources and the most significant figure in Jesuit ascetic literature, Gábor Hevenesi.

The ELTE University Library and Archives announces an online training on managing research data and preparing a research data management plan. The presentation will also cover the proper management of research data and the preparation of the research data management plan required by NKFIH as part of the application to OTKA grants. There are two available sessions of the training. Registration is required for each presentation.

Wolters Kluwer Publishing has offered trial access to the Lippincott Williams and Wilkins medical journal database. The database is available for testing between the 17th of April 2023 and the 17th of May 2023, connected to the university's internet network.

Due to an event, the ELTE University Library and Archives will be closed on Friday, on the 21st of April 2023. From Saturday, from the 22nd of April 2023, we will be open again.

The publisher SAGE has offered trial access to EISZ member institutions. The database will be available for testing between the 14th of April 2023 and the 2nd of June 2023, connected to the university's internet network. Remote access to the database is possible using a VPN service.

Central and Eastern European Online Library (CEEOL) offered trial access to EISZ member institutions. The database can be tested connected to the university's internet network between 14.04.2023 and 14.05.2023. Remote access to the database is possible using a VPN service.

The Eötvös Loránd University Library and Archives – University History Collection has become a museum institution of public interest by the decision of the Minister of Culture and Innovation.

The Archives Publication of the Year award, established by the Association of Hungarian Archivists, can be applied for in several categories every year. This year, László Szögi's publication „Peregrinatio academica. The history, size and trends of Hungarian university visits abroad 1150–1919" was awarded third place in the category of professional publications.

Our series entitled “Mosaics from the heritage of ELTE” presents some of the key material cultural heritage of the Eötvös Loránd University. The object of the month is the drawings and notes made at the Eötvös Collegium by Dezső Pais.

At the first quarterly report of the K21 Quality Coordination Committee 2023, the leaders of the working groups reported on the results of the past quarter, ongoing work and changes.

Save a book, adopt it! Our volume presented in April is a missal printed in 1704 in Nagyszombat, which is one of the highlights of the book adoption program of the University Library Foundation.

Bloomsbury Publisher has offered a two-month trial access to EISZ member institutions that is available between the 1st of April and the 31st of May 2023. The three history databases are accessible from the ELTE internet network and via VPN for remote access.

The ELTE Disability Center (SHÜTI), an office of the university with the aim to ensure equal opportunities to students with special needs, has published a booklet entitled Equal Access in Higher Education: Information for Lecturers and Academic Staff. The publication edited by Krisztina Kovács, the University's Disability Coordinator is available in all ELTE faculty libraries, as well as in the ELTE University Library and Archives.
