The ProQuest One Academic database can be tested due to the one-month trial acces. The database contains scientific journals, e-books, dissertations, daily and weekly newspapers, videos and many other documents.

The Citizens of ELTE have the opportunity to try out the following two databases that can be accessed from ELTE IP range or in case of remote access using Stunnel or VPN service.

School libraries belonging to the ELTE library network can catalogue their documents in various databases. While maintaining these systems, the ELTE University Library and Archives developed a common search interface in 2011 within the framework of the TÁMOP-3.2.4/09/1/KMR-2010-0021 project, which can be accessed directly at http://gimikatalogus.elte.hu.

The databases can be used without restriction from ELTE IP addresses. In case of remote access databases may accessed after Shibboleth authentication, or for students by using Stunnel, for instructors and for ELTE employees by using a VPN service.

The Arcanum ADT is again available to ELTE citizens in the usual ways.

Through a series of webinars in English, CNKI (China National Knowledge Infrastructure) provides insight into the contents of their databases, of their services and how to use the database management platform. The service provider will hold webinars on the 8th of November, 2nd of December, 6th of January and 4th of February. You can apply for the first event now.

China's largest scientific platform, CNKI – China National Knowledge Infrastructure – provides full IP-based access to its databases to all EISZ member institutions, so as to ELTE, from the 1st of November 2021 to the 28th of February 2022.

The collection of the Central and Eastern European Online Library (CEEOL) database will be available until 30 September 2021. The database contains journals dealing with economic, artistic, historical, legal, library and information science and social science issues in Central and Eastern Europe.

Elsevier has offered a 30-day trial access to the Scopus database and SciVal.

We would like to inform the lecturers, researchers and students of Eötvös Loránd University that our university has subscribed to the following 37 databases for 2021, six of which offere free Open Access publishing opprtunity (Akadémiai Kiadó, Cambridge University Press, De Gruyter, Elsevier, Springer, and Wiley).

There has been a new obligation since last year, so every applicant has to attach a certificate from the MTMT to the application. The document includes the applicant’s scientometric datas and it has to be issued by the central University Library.

An ORCID has been required for validation in the STA database since 1st of april. It means that your STA profile has to include your ORCID, if you want to validate the profile.

In 2021, 6 databases ordered through EISZ will provide free Gold Open Access publishing options.  Pursuant to the subscription agreement between EISZ and the publishers, OA publication may be requested by the corresponding author of the articles, who must have an ELTE affiliation in order for the OA publication with no APC to the authors.
