Read and Publish 2022 – Springer quota

The quota for fully open journals (258) included in EISZ agreement with Springer has been run out on the 6th of December 2022.

With the exhaustion of the quota authors will no longer have the opportunity to choose OA publication covered by the EISZ agreement.

All pending (Open) articles will be rejected by the Publisher, but the authors will definitely be informed of the reason for rejection (lack of available APCs/funds).

Requests, above the threshold, that may have been approved in the meantime are stopped by the Publisher's production team, the article is reset and returned to the authors, who may choose to pay for open access from their own budget.

A message on the Publisher's website about the EISZ agreement will inform authors of the suspension of the opportunity and the exhaustion of this year's quota.

If you have any questions or need further information, please feel free to contact us.

This exhaustion does not affect the publishing opportunity in hybrid journals, where authors can continue to submit their manuscripts, and all incoming APC applications can be approved.
