Reporting Day K21 – Results in the light of quality improvement

The fourth quarterly report of the K21 Quality Management Coordination Committee took place in the framework of a Teams meeting. Working group leaders reported on the results and changes of the last quarter.

The work plan of the K21 Quality Coordination Committee for 2022 was adopted unanimously. The K21 Quality Management Coordination Committee was actively involved in the Document Management Project of the University Library Service (ULS), which aims to systematize the documents created within the ULS to ensure long-term preservation and retrieval.

The results of the Student and Staff Satisfaction Survey 2021 were evaluated. This year's survey was expanded to include a group of new library services and developments established in the epidemic situation. During the pandemic, the ability to pick up pre-assembled loan packages was well received by students based on feedback and caused a positive response. In the case of all services, the satisfaction of the respondents showed an improvement, the library users are still the most satisfied with the personal and electronic library information. The results of Student and Staff Satisfaction Survey 2021 are available in the EDIT repository.

The summary of the process audits carried out in 2020 has been completed, the process managers have modified the relevant process descriptions. The finalized process descriptions will be approved by the Library Council. The process inventory of the ELTE University Library and Archives has been completed and the review of the scope of statistical data has begun.

The members of the green library working group are working on a green virtual collection to gather printed and electronic resources related to the topic. As part of a few-day campaign, a professionally competent company transported a large amount of waste paper and discarded books left over from the libraries of the Faculty of Arts.

The barrier-free library working group has been compiled a complex, constantly updated barrier-free library user’s guide for librarians. The document will be available for all staff members in the EDIT repository from January.

The library leaders discussed the development of a performance appraisal system, the RFID, book and journal procurement procedures, the work plans of the Library Council Coordination Committees for 2022, the Integrated Library System, the archiving and service of dissertations and the possibilities of connection between Aleph and Neptun.

We provide regular information on the results of the K21 Quality Management Coordination Committee and will announce the latest developments and results on our website soon with the latest news.
